Maricar De Ocampo

Education Consultant and Early Childhood Specialist

Professor Ma. Carolina G. De Ocampo or better known as Teacher Maricar is a great force that has transformed many educational establishments in the Philippines in realizing the value of play in Early Childhood settings. She has inspired countless students in having a deep understanding on progressive education as a professor in De La Salle University- Brother Andrew Gonzalez College of Education where she has inspired many students in the Educational Leadership and Management Department and Masters Program in Early Childhood Education since 2000.

She has taught as a preschool teacher in Early Learning Center, Bank Street School for Children, City and Country School, Manhattan and The Little Red School House in Manhattan, New York City. Teacher Maricar had her educational formation from Assumption College, where she took up Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Minor in Elementary Education and Bank Street College of Education, New York where she got her Masters of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is also in the process of completing her Executive Program PhD in Educational Leadership and Management in De La Salle University.

She is a co-founder of Keys School Manila, a progressive Pre-K-Grade 12 school. She also serves as an educational consultant to many schools in different provinces in the Philippines and in other countries. She has developed training modules for Wyeth Philippines, Kidzania Philippines, Smart Kids together with Manila Book Fair, Inc. and Metropolitan Psychological Corporation in Makati Medical Center.
